Often, teachers focus on self reflection and goal setting at the beginning of the year, but it’s best practice to focus growth mindset activities throughout the year, especially in middle school and high school. These graphic organizers will help you to stay organized and consistent with goal setting!!

Here’s what you’ll receive in this resource:
- Goal-Setting Slide (1 Slide) so that students can reflect on a goal or goals they have previously set, perhaps at the beginning of a unit of study or at the beginning of a semester. Students will reflect on how they’ve progressed toward their set goal(s), and set new personal and learning goals for continued work.
- Cell Phone Reflection (2 Slides; vertical and horizontal layouts) to help students reflect on a calendar year or school year. Students will browse the images, videos, messages on their phone and select the one that is the most meaningful, insert it into the cell phone on the slide, and reflect to the right of the image.
- End-of-Class Reflection (2 Slides; English class & Non-Content Specific) to help students reflect on their performance in a class at the end of the “year” – you could use this at the end of the calendar year or at the end of the school year, or for a mid-point check-in. The first slide is tailored to English class specifically; however, I have included the second slide which can be used in any content area class.
- 4-Focus Areas (1 Slide) to help students reflect on what they love and what they want to change in the following four areas: hobbies/activities, family, school, relationships.
- Self-Care & Mental Health (1 Slide) to help students think about how they can practice better self-care, including typical cause and effect behaviors that may or may not be healthy.
- Product Link and Teacher Notes (2 Pages) so that you have instructions and tips for using this assignment with students at your fingertips.
- Digital “Getting Started” Guide (2 Pages) so that you’re able to swiftly make your own copy of this digital product and share it with your students.
- Digital “FAQ” Guide (2 Pages) provides detailed answers to common digital resource questions!
This product is partially-editable! The directions for each slide are located to the left of the slide in a text box which is completely customizable for your classroom purposes. The text boxes on each slide are also customizable if you would like to change wording from what I have pre-entered for you.
