Google Forms ELA quizzes - Text Analysis, Connotation and Denotation

Assign these Google Forms quizzes for ELA as close reading & critical thinking practice or as text analysis assessments in your Google Classroom or paperless environment. These ELA quizzes are digital Google Forms, and are designed to align with my Introduction to Text Analysis & Close Reading resource, providing a way to assess student knowledge of the textual analysis process.
 
Don't have 1:1? No problem! You can print these Google Forms and have your students take their close reading assessments on paper.
 
There are two different Google Form assessments, each with different questions, but targeting the same skills. These are fully editable for your personal classroom use, and they come with sample student responses in the "answer key" section for each question.
 
Students will be asked to demonstrate the following skills:
